Meet the Artists

Scott Bramble began his professional tattoo career in 1991 in Perkasie, PA. Scott worked at shops all over the East Coast and finally settled in Glenside, PA when he opened Mercury Tattoo Studio in March of 2000. When he opened Mercury Tattoo, Scott had a vision of a different kind of tattoo studio. He wanted a space that was not only a great tattoo studio but also a venue to showcase the artwork of fellow tattooers as well as other local artists. He wanted a studio that made everyone feel welcome and opened to the art of tattooing.
Over the past 10 years, Scott has helped Mercury Tattoo gain the reputation of being one of the premier tattoo studios in the area. Scott has been featured in many different publications throughout the years and has won countless awards at tattoo conventions all over the country. Scott has had the pleasure of being invited and to participate in the very prestigious London Tattoo Convention and the Milan Tattoo Convention where only the best Tattoo Artist in the World gather to showcase their talents.

Keeping to the original concept that he had for Mercury, Scott invites several guest artists from around the country to come to Mercury Tattoo. Scott wants to share the talents of Tattooers that truly inspire him with the clients of Mercury Tattoo. Scott does Guest Spots several times a year in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at Hobo’s Tattoo Shop with good friend and fellow tattooer, Jason Scott. He has been invited to do Guest Spots in San Deigo CA, Calgary, Montreal and Spain. He plans on traveling more in the coming year.

When he is not tattooing or traveling, Scott enjoys reading about American History and has begun doing several paintings inspired by such periods as the Revolutionary War. Scott is an avid Fisherman and tries to go fishing as often as his schedule will allow. Scott loves the outdoors in general and likes spending quality time hiking and exploring state parks with his girlfriend, Holly and their dog Hoss. Scott currently resides in Bucks County, PA.

Marcus Koch

Marcus Koch began tattooing in Florida in 1996. Since then, Marcus has tattooed at many different shops around the country. In 2001, Marcus joined fellow tattooer and friend Scott Bramble at Mercury Tattoo. Marcus has a great appreciation for the history of tattooing and the tradition style of the art that still appeals to people today. He prides himself on doing solid and precise tattoos. He never wants a client to wait more than two weeks for an appointment with him. His philosophy is “if people have to wait to get their tattoo finished they aren’t as excited about it. No one should have to wait six months for a tattoo, that is just crazy and there is no reason for it.”

When he isn’t tattooing, Marcus spends time with Patti, his wife of 8 years and their Lab-mix, Lucky. He likes working on restoring old VW’s, a passion that he shares with his father. Marcus spent a few years as a professional Truck Driver for Prime Inc out of Springfield, MO. Marcus says, “it was something I always enjoyed doing and I might like to return to it in the future. There is nothing like the open road.”

Currently, Marcus is a full time artist at Mercury Tattoo but also enjoys doing regular guest spots at Charlie’s Tattoo in Fort Smith, Arkansas where Marcus and his wife Patti own a home.
